SACE, Italy's export credit agency, has guaranteed a $200 million buyer credit facility for VinFast Vietnam JSC, as announced on 15 September 2026.[2][4]

Barclays, BNP Paribas and HSBC acted as the arranging banks on the facility, with HSBC serving as coordinator.[1][2]

The deal was structured under SACE's Push Strategy programme, which the agency says is intended to open Vietnamese export opportunities for Italian suppliers.[1]

According to the announcement, the financing will support VinFast's investment and research and development activity, including spending related to electric vehicles, as general corporate purposes.[3][4]

Separately, Vingroup's board approved guarantees securing the foreign bank loan to VinFast Vietnam at a resolution dated 27 August 2026.[5]

The guarantee from SACE S.p.A. backs that loan from foreign banks to the Vietnamese automaker.[5]
