Return closes EUR400 million financing for 200MW/800MWh Dutch battery
The Sirius BESS project in Winschoten has reached financial close alongside a long-term fixed-price toll with Vattenfall.
Return has reached financial close on the Sirius BESS, a 200MW/800MWh battery storage project in Winschoten, the Netherlands, as announced on 2026-09-01.[1]
The financing package behind the project totals EUR400 million and comes from NG, NatWest, Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO and Rabobank.[1]
Alongside the close, Return signed a long-term fixed-price toll with Vattenfall covering the 200MW/800MWh facility.[1]
The toll is described as one of the largest fixed-price tolls signed in the Netherlands to date.[1]
