Supernode BESS Stage 3 lines up offtake, equipment and AU$469 million debt
Quinbrook's Queensland battery expansion has secured a long-term Stanwell agreement, GE Vernova supply and a debt package lifting project financing to about AU$1.2 billion.
Quinbrook reached financial close on AU$469 million of debt for Stage 3 of the Supernode BESS, taking total project financing to roughly AU$1.2 billion.[3]
The developer signed a 15-year offtake agreement with Queensland government-owned Stanwell Corporation covering 1,010MWh of Stage 3 capacity.[3]
Separately, the Gawara Baya project secured long-term offtake with Stanwell and SmartestEnergy and takes part in Australia's Capacity Investment Scheme.[1]
Quinbrook chose GE Vernova to provide power conversion, control and integration technology for the 260MW/1,216MWh Stage 3, with the selection announced in August 2026.[2]
