Institutional datasheet

Indonesia is a G20 economy whose official export credit agency is Indonesia Eximbank (Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia, LPEI). This datasheet records the National Export Financing mandate, Berne Union membership, Arrangement and FATF posture, and company register pointers.

Official export credit: Indonesia Eximbank

Indonesia Eximbank states that it was established in 2009 as a financial institution under the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, with the main objective of boosting national export growth and assisting exporters in expanding business capacity. National Export Financing is provided to businesses with or without legal-entity form, including individuals domiciled inside or outside Indonesia. The institution raises funding through bond issuance and other borrowing, is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, and publishes SME exporter empowerment activity to grow the number of new exporters.

The Berne Union member profile describes Indonesia Eximbank as a special financial institution established under Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 2 of 2009, operating independently based on a separate law (lex specialis) with sovereign entity status. As an extension of the Government of Indonesia, it helps provide funding in markets not served by commercial banks in support of the national export development programme through National Export Financing (PEN). Founded in 2009, it joined the Berne Union in 2014 and is listed as an ECA.

OECD Arrangement posture

EXIM has published the Participants to the OECD Arrangement as the United States, Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye and the United Kingdom. Indonesia is not included in that Participants list, so official Indonesian support sits outside the Arrangement Participant set as published in that source, and Indonesia Eximbank product terms are those published by the institution. Where a foreign Participant ECA covers exports into Indonesia, that Participant's Arrangement obligations remain the foreign ECA's framework.

FATF and sanctions list posture

Indonesia is a FATF member. Membership denotes participation in AML and counter-terrorist financing standard setting; evaluation outcomes are published by FATF separately. Indonesia does not appear on the FATF increased monitoring or call for action lists as reproduced in HM Treasury's June 2026 Money Laundering Advisory Notice. UN, UK, EU or US programmes can still designate Indonesian persons or entities, so sanctions screening against the applicable consolidated lists remains party-based and precedes credit-file reliance.

Company and beneficial-ownership register notes

The Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU) of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia operates AHU Online services for limited liability companies (perseroan terbatas), foundations (yayasan), associations (perkumpulan) and related legal-entity registrations, and publishes a corporate beneficial owner (pemilik manfaat korporasi) service. Public-access rules, fees and any restricted fields for beneficial-ownership consultation are not described in the sources cited here and are recorded as an open item pending citation of the competent authority pages.

Summary

Institutional mapping for Indonesia centres on Indonesia Eximbank's lex specialis mandate for National Export Financing, Berne Union membership since 2014, FATF membership with absence from the public lists as reproduced by HM Treasury, non-Participant Arrangement status, and AHU Online as the legal-entity registration channel.
