Poland is an EU Member State whose official export credit insurance is provided by KUKE with State Treasury backing, with a MONEYVAL-assessed AML framework, EU sanctions implementation, and National Court Register plus CRBR beneficial ownership infrastructure. Poland export credit agency and official support

KUKE is the official Polish export credit agency. Official about materials state that KUKE is the only insurance company in Poland authorised to provide export insurance backed by the State Treasury, with solutions spanning credit insurance, guarantees, factoring and investment insurance for Polish enterprises. KUKE also states that it covers bank loans financing export projects against credit risk and political risk, which is the bank-facing edge of the mandate. Official KUKE pages are the institutional pointer for product menus and State Treasury backed cover. Marketing statistics on insured volumes published on KUKE pages are reported scale, not eligibility thresholds.

FATF posture for Poland

Poland is not a FATF member country. Its AML and counter-terrorist financing framework is assessed through MONEYVAL, the Council of Europe body within the FATF global network, as recorded on the FATF Poland country page. Poland does not appear on the FATF increased monitoring or call for action lists as reproduced in HM Treasury's June 2026 Money Laundering Advisory Notice. FATF Recommendations still form the standard applied through the MONEYVAL process.

Sanctions posture for Poland

Company and beneficial ownership registers in Poland

EU e-Justice materials for Poland describe the National Court Register (Krajowy Rejestr Sadowy, KRS) as a central IT database for commercial law companies and other registered entities, providing universal, quick and reliable access to information on the legal status of registered entities through the Central Information Office. Sole traders and civil-law partnership partners are entered in the separate Central Business Register (CEIDG).

Ministry of Finance materials describe the Central Register of Beneficial Owners (CRBR) as collecting beneficial owner information for the entity types listed in Polish AML law, and describe the register's public character as enabling free access to beneficial ownership information. UBO terminology maps to that CRBR beneficial owner concept. Post-CJEU access reforms elsewhere in the EU have changed national practice, so current Ministry of Finance CRBR notices govern any later restriction.

Summary

Poland participates in Arrangement disciplines through the European Union Participant for medium and long term officially supported export credits, so OECD Arrangement rules frame KUKE State Treasury backed medium and long term cover where they apply. KRS extracts support legal status checks for Polish companies. CRBR supplies beneficial ownership data under the access model published by the Ministry of Finance. Neither register replaces EU sanctions screening for Polish law exposures under CFSP measures.
